A KITAP has 5 (five) years of stay validity, including 2 (two) years of MERP (Multiple Entry-Re Entry Permit). However, suppose the marriage is less than 10 (ten) years old and has ended due to divorce and/or based on a court decision.

Foreigners who hold a stay permit (work or an investor KITAS) can bring their immediate family to Indonesia through a dependent KITAS. The family members who can obtain a dependent KITAS are the wife or husband (proof by the marriage certificate) and their children (evidence by the birth certificate that mentioned the foreigner’s identity).
